The Constance boat, built in 1895 has been recently refurbished with a Lynch electric motor.
The Constance was built in 1895 and has recently be refurbished from steam power to electric. The boat was restored with a Lynch electric motor because as you can imagine the noise from the steam engine was unbearable, passengers on the boat who are all dressed up would get covered in soot due to the old steam system.
The previous owner decided to convert to electric so that you can enjoy the surroundings as the electric engine is so quiet, there is little break, little noise and you get to see wildlife popping up around even seals. Now with a Lynch motor the boat has been restored and they can get far more enjoyment out of it without the stress of a steam engine.
