Here at Lynch Motors, we designed and manufactured the worlds first 100% sustainable ship- the Acciona.
The Lynch Motor was used to power the Acciona, 60ft ship during the Vendee Globe Challenge. It was required to power the ship for 84 days without the need to carry fuel or other flamable liquids on board.
Designed to be a highly sustainable ship right from the outset, the Acciona is very different from its fellow competitors. The Acciona is the most competitive, and the only sustainable ship of its kind- designed specifically without the need to use any kind of fossil fuel throughout its entire lifetime.

The Acciona competed in the Vendee Globe
Challenge, an epic top flight yacht-racing competition in which a single yachtsman sails unassisted around the world. The Acciona was the first yacht to ever compete in the Vendee Globe without a single litre of fuel on board.
The Acciona competed in the Vendee Globe competition for 84 days without assistance before capsizing.
