We were commissioned to develop the 65v Pancake Motor, producing an output of 20Kw to power the kart.
As well as having the same power output as a conventional kart, the electric motor is far more cost effective because there are no fuel costs, no servicing charge and little or no emissions in comparison to its petrol powered rivals.

The recorded top speed exceeds 65mph and the kart only weighs 123kg making the agility and handling second to none. The batteries that power the electric motor are divided into two packs mounted on either side of the kart, they use Nickel Cobalt technology.

The batteries combined last for approximately 15 minutes which is easily long enough for an average kart race.
